Did you know that careful management is a critical component to any successful training plan
Let’s talk management.
Don’t underestimate the part that a good management plan plays when training your dog to behave in a way you’d like.
Perhaps you’d like your dog to walk calmly past other dogs on walks, ignore the postman or greet visitors with 4 paws on the ground. Your first step to changing their behaviour for the better is to come up with a management plan to stop them from rehearsing the unwanted behaviour.
Sometimes the plan is as super simple as popping the dog on a lead but other times this plan takes some thinking about.
The management won’t train your dog but it will limit rehearsal of unwanted behaviour.
Remember that the more your dog rehearses behaviours you don’t like the faster these become habits and habits are hard to break.
